pursuing your passions with the honors college
I’m especially grateful to the University of Wyoming Honors College for their generous financial support, which made it possible for me to attend this transformative event. Their commitment to enriching student experiences outside the classroom plays a vital role in preparing the next generation of leaders and innovators.
excited to carry this momentum forward
This May, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Bitcoin 2025 in Las Vegas, one of the most impactful educational experiences of my academic journey so far.
With over 30,000 attendees from more than 160 countries and participation from 5,000 companies and over 400 speakers, this global conference offered an unparalleled platform to explore the future of blockchain and its integration into the financial system through decentralized finance.
I engaged with industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers, gaining insights from notable figures such as Vice President JD Vance, Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis, Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy, Vladimir Tenev of Robinhood, and many others. These perspectives gave me a deeper understanding of blockchain’s growing influence on both public policy and private industry.
My interest in blockchain began at the University of Wyoming through coursework taught by Professor Steven Lupien at the Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation. His mentorship and passion for the subject inspired me to pursue a minor in Blockchain Technology, and his guidance continues to shape my academic and professional development.
I left the conference more inspired than ever to continue exploring blockchain’s potential, and I’m excited to carry this momentum forward.
