From Honors to the H3 Project

Hello Pokes!

My name is Grant Dillivan. I am a 2025 graduate from the University of Wyoming. Along with that and a former student of the Honors College. I currently live in Washington DC, and have been slowly growing accustomed to big city life as a formerly small town boy. In DC, I am an Outreach Specialist with the nonprofit The h3 Project. In this role, I conduct street outreach and offer case management services to those experiencing homelessness in the city. After some time here in DC, I plan to go on and earn my Master’s in Social Work, and become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My ultimate career goal is to help those who are leaving incarceration transition back to the community. While here in DC, I am also participating in the Truman Albright Fellowship, a year-long professional development program offered by the Truman Scholarship Foundation.

While my time out of college has not been very long, it certainly feels that way sometimes! Looking back, it is now clear to see how choosing to become involved in the Honors College has contributed to my current accomplishments. It was an info session for graduate degrees put on by the Honors College, where I first learned about the Truman Scholarship. Without the guidance and support of the honors college faculty, I doubt I would have earned this prestigious award and been set on the professional path that I am currently on! I will always be beyond grateful for the honors community and their support.
