When hired, all benefited employees must will out a Retirement Plan Option Form to choose either Wyoming Retirement System or TIAA as their retirement option. If no options are chosen, you will automatically be enrolled in the Wyoming Retirement System.

Change Beneficiary

Employees typically change their beneficiaries due to marriage or divorce, but they may be changed at any time without a qualifying event. Changes may be made online via the above links for Wyoming Retirement System or TIAA.

Supplemental Retirement

Benefited employees are eligible to enroll in a 403(b) and/or 457(b) plan. Enrollment is available any time and will take effect the month after the enrollment form is received. The State of Wyoming contributes $20 per month if the employee contributes a minimum of $20 per month.

Board of Trustees Retirement Benefit

Employees who meet the length of service requirements are eligible for several important benefits that are outlined in

UW Regulation 5-2.

Retiree Health Insurance

Employees who are at least 50 years old with a minimum of 4 years of service are eligible to enroll in the retiree health insurance when retiring.  For the most up to date plan booklets, premium rates and retiree forms please visit the EGI website.
