Welcome to the University of Wyoming and Congratulations on your new position!
Here are a few important tasks to help you get started:
It's easy! To initiate your access, you can do so via WyoWeb or by visiting the IT Login Information page. Just complete the requested fields, and the system will provide you with your UW Username and an initial password. Your email address will be your username "@uwyo.edu".
You are required by law to complete a Form I-9 with Human Resources on or before your first day of work. UW utilizes a 3rd party vendor, Sterling Talent Solutions, to complete the Form I-9 electronically. Visit our webpage for more information.
The University of Wyoming utilizes electronic forms to enroll in Direct Deposit and W-4 Tax Withholding. Please visit the Payroll website for more information. Instructions for completing these forms will be provided during your Onboarding process.
As a new employee, it is required that you attend New Employee Orientation. This orientation provides information regarding required training, benefit options, benefit eligibility and enrollment, and contact information for important organizations across campus.
In addition, we will highlight ways to get involved at UW and within the Laramie community to help you transition into your new role. Visit the New Employee Orientation website for more details.
A brief Summary of Benefits provides an overview of your benefits, and a packet with detailed information will be distributed at New Employee Orientation. For any questions related to benefits, contact Cherise Laud at 307-766-2437. New Employee Orientation sessions are held weekly on Tuesdays. Please work with your supervisor to accommodate your required attendance.
Please take some time to download and review the Employee Handbook. The Employee Handbook provides detailed information about your rights and responsibilities as a UW employee and outlines terms of employment.
Transit & Parking Services offers a variety of parking options. Eligibility for particular permits is determined based on an individual's classification within the University of Wyoming.
However, not all parking options require a permit. Feel free to utilize the Day Lot or parking meters. You may even consider parking at one of the Express Lots and riding the shuttle into campus. Click to view the different parking options.
As UW Staff, you have the option to obtain an identification card. Your first card is free (there is a fee for replacements, so don’t lose it!). To get your official WyoOne ID card you will need to bring a valid government-issued photo ID (Drivers' License, Passport, Military ID, etc.) with you.
UW staff can use the WyoOne card to write checks on campus, use library services, use debit card features, purchase recreation through Half Acre Gym and may also be used to obtain certain discounts at UW athletic events.
The University of Wyoming offers many opportunities and amenities to employees.
