Complete Federal I-9 Form
All UW employees are required by law to complete Sections 1 and 2 of Federal I-9 paperwork on or before your start date (i.e., the date listed on your offer letter as your first day of work).
If your I-9 is not completed within three business days of your start date, you will not be able to continue to work.

To obtain your UW credentials as a new employee, visit the WyoWeb portal and click on "Obtain Username and Initial Password" in the upper right corner (note: you will need to know your assigned W#). We've linked the page below for your convenience!
Important: If you are a former or current student at UW, you will be assigned the credentials that are already in the system. For legal name changes, contact the Human Resources Records team.

Get your WyoOne Identification Card
As a UW employee, your WyoOne ID is your official university identification card that allows you to access buildings across campus, dining halls, libraries and more. Your WyoOne ID can also be used as a debit card for on-campus purchases.
To get your WyoOne ID, head to the Information Technology building at 1710 E Sorority Row, Rm 167 between 10am and 2pm M-F. Make sure to bring a government issued photo ID (e.g., driver license, passport., etc.).
Your first ID card is free. There is a replacement fee if your card is lost, stolen or damaged.

Complete Payroll Onboarding Tasks
During your first week as a new employee, you are required to complete important payroll onboarding tasks in WyoCloud (log in with your UW credentials) to ensure your information is accurate for payroll processing and tax purposes.
Be sure to complete the following:
1. Make sure your contact information, especially your mailing address, is accurate. Complete this by clicking the "Personal Information" tile.
2. Complete your W-4 Tax Withholding form. This can be found under the "Pay" tile.
3. Choose your "Payment Methods" preferences, including setting up Direct Deposit. This can be updated under the "Pay" tile.
4. Update your W-2 delivery preferences by choosing to receive your W-2 tax form electronically. This can be completed also under the "Pay" tile.
Note: You will also see a list of these steps included in your Onboarding Tasks in WyoCloud under the "Journeys" tile.

Complete New Employee Orientation (NEO) for Benefited Employees
Are you a benefited employee? Make sure to sign up for the required New Employee Orientation for benefited employees hosted by Human Resources. It will provide a comprehensive overview of your benefits package, payroll tasks and helpful resources.

Are You An International Employee?
The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 makes it unlawful for the University of Wyoming to hire any individual who has not complied with the law's verification requirement. Before completing your I-9 form with HR, international employees must contact the International Students and Scholars office (ISS) for guidance on immigration, visas and outreach services. Visit Knight Hall, Room 241 for assistance on campus.
