Training and Development

Building a culture of professional and technical growth. 

Our Training & Development philosophy is to be intentional as we build developmental programs starting with the basic need for a strong foundation from which to grow. Through our work, we take a holistic approach to engage all employees, encourage growth and reflection, increase technical aptitude, inspire positive interactions that ultimately lead employees’ personal, professional and technical growth by:

  • Design and deliver employee training on professional development topics and Human Capital Management. 
  • Assist in the design and development of departmental employee training programs.
  • Administer Employee LearnCenter and LinkedIn Learning for campus employees and departments.
  • Deliver training to University of Wyoming staff. 

Core Services

  • WyoCloud/HCM Training


    WyoCloud and HCM resources take the form of training's in the Online Learn Center (OLC) or Quick Reference Guides (QRGs). This is the first stop for any questions involving HCM or Human Resource Processes.

  • Compliance Training


    The Training Team utilizes Everfi to provide training that encourages a safe inclusive atmosphere for our employees.

  • Employee Development


    The University provides professional development training for all employees via LinkedIn Learning.

Shortcuts

  • Managing Employee Information


    Learn how to manage your own information. Such as:

    • Updating your personal information
    • Viewing your benefit elections
    • Adding and reviewing your goals
    • Requesting Family Medical Leave
    • Review your Compensation
  • Payroll Related Information


    Learn how to manage your payroll related tasks. Such as:

    • Report your time/absences
    • Access your W-2
    • Add/Edit your payment methods
    • Review/Edit W-2s
    • View your payslip's
  • Using the TimeClock Plus Platform


    Here are instructions for the alternate option, provided to departments, for tracking employee time.

    Please do not attempt to use timeclock plus (TCP), unless directed to do so by your supervisor.

  • Managing Your Employees


    Supervisors can utilize these resources to manage their employees. The actions available to managers include:

    • Changing an Employee's Manager
    • Reviewing/approving Employee's time and absences
    • Managing goals and performance evaluations
    • Updating work hours
  • Decentralized Human Representatives


    These are the QRGs created for use by our DHRs. Actions include:

    • Decentralized Reporting

    • Recording Flexible Work Agreements
    • Hires
    • Terminations
  • Recruiting and Onboarding
