Keynote Speaker

Dr. Joia Crear-Perry Founder of the National Birth Equity Collaborative and a nationally recognized voice on the root causes of maternal health disparities. Dr. Crear-Perry’s keynote will speak directly to the challenges Wyoming faces — from access gaps and financial barriers to the systemic factors driving preventable maternal deaths. Her address will be followed by a moderated opening plenary panel featuring voices from across Wyoming’s maternal health landscape.

SUMMIT STRUCTURE

The summit will run as full day on September 2nd and a half day on September 3rd. After the opening keynote and plenary, attendees will participate in four concurrent tracks:

  1. Clinical delivery & access
  2. Mental health & substance use disorders
  3. Workforce expansion
  4. Data, policy & sustainability

On Day 2, attendees will convene in working groups organized by track to develop actionable recommendations, followed by a share-back session and closing plenary to synthesize the work across all four areas.

To capture and communicate the ideas emerging across sessions, the summit will feature live visual scribing, a real-time graphic documentation process that makes complex ideas visible and accessible for all participants.
