UWIT Employee Spotlight: Ty Weber
For over 25 years, Ty Weber has been a cornerstone in Information Technology as a dedicated member of our PC Maintenance and Imaging groups. If you've encountered a PC hardware issue in the past two decades, chances are Ty has been there to assist you.
Ty's expertise and willingness to help have made him an invaluable resource within our IT team. Colleagues often turn to him for guidance, knowing they can rely on his extensive knowledge and problem-solving skills. His commitment to customer service is unwavering, and he consistently goes above and beyond to ensure our customers are satisfied.
Ty is a native of Wyoming, having grown up in Riverton. After high school, Ty left the state and headed to Arizona, but Wyoming drew him back in 1989 when he returned to attend school at Central Wyoming College. After earning his associate degree in electronics, he moved to Cheyenne. In 1999, he made his way to Laramie and started his career at UW, joining Information Technology.
When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Ty said that he “enjoys helping people and solving problems. I find working in Information Technology to bring unique challenges and allows me to step outside of the box to find creative solutions.”
Ty Weber's dedication and hard work have not only kept customer systems running smoothly but have also helped foster a culture of support and excellence within Information Technology. We're lucky to have him on our team and look forward to many more years of his awesome service.
