Lauren Lestage |
Lauren Lestage is a soprano from Houston, Texas. She currently resides in Denver, Colorado where she received her Master in Music for Vocal Performance at the University of Denver (2023). For her undergraduate degree she attended the University of North Texas, where she received her Bachelor of Music in both Vocal Performance and Music Education (2018). She sings with many professional chamber ensembles in Denver, including the Evans Choir under the direction of Dr. Catherine Sailer, Gaudium Verum, the Arch Diocesan Schola, and a new chamber group to Denver, Cantare Montibus which she co-founded in 2024.
In Summer 2022, she traveled to London, where she was selected as the soprano soloist for Vox Anima London’s “Living Into Hope'' concert and performed in Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. In 2023 she performed The Rose in Rachel Portman’s The Little Prince with Lamont Opera Theatre, Edith with Empire Lyrics Players 2022 production of Pirates of Penzance, and currently she sings as a Teaching and Touring Artist at Central City Opera and performs as Marianna in their production of Frida Kahlo and the Bravest Girl in the World.
In 2020-2022, she was chosen as one of the 12 singers across the United States to be a U.S. Scholar with Voces8 Foundation. She has performed with Opera Colorado Chorus in Tosca and Don Giovanni. She had her third season this year as one of the featured singers in The Nutcracker with The Colorado Ballet. Other groups she has performed with include Elus Vocal Ensemble, Houston Chamber Choir, UNT Symphony Orchestra, UNT Grand Chorus, UNT Opera, and Denton Community Theatre. Lestage is also a staff singer and regular soloist under Dr. Michael Boney at St. John’s Cathedral in Denver where she performs a variety of chamber and oratorio works.
