Compelling speaker
Each year the school brings in a compelling speaker to be our Whitney Distinguished Lecturer at this event. Read the poster below about Kathleen McCauley, Professor Emerita of Cardiovascular Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She will speak about TCM, the Transitional Care Model helping older adults deal with the complicated health care systems of today.
Quality improvement projects
This year 14 third-year Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students will be presenting 9 quality improvement projects that were completed with 9 clinical agencies, 8 of which were in Wyoming and one was in Colorado. Since agencies are crucial in helping educate UW students, the DNP program is figuring a way to give back and help out those same agencies.
