PLM Industry Partners Program

Join Us In Shaping the Next Generation of Land Professionals

Your partnership directly supports experiential learning that prepares students to be career and leadership-ready. It also helps strengthen the talent pipeline for the energy industry by giving students meaningful exposure to industry expectations, professional networks, and practical career pathways.

Your partnership helps provide students with:

  • Mentorship and professional development opportunities
  • Industry site visits and field-based learning
  • Conference participation, including travel and lodging support
  • Access to internships, shadow days, and direct industry engagement
  • Practical preparation for careers in land, energy, legal, and regulatory work

By becoming an Industry Partner, your organization gains visibility among emerging talent, strengthens connections with the University of Wyoming, and helps ensure the continued relevance and success of the Professional Land Management (PLM) program. Together, we are building a skilled, industry-ready workforce prepared to meet the evolving demands of the energy sector.

Allowing students to do. Not just be.

2026 PLM alumnus David Meraz Ordonez, RL, shares how hands-on learning and industry engagement through the School of Energy Resources helped prepare him for a career in land.

His experiential learning opportunities helped support his professional growth and contributed to his recognition as the national runner-up for the 2026 Outstanding AAPL Graduate award.
