Industry Partners Program

Professional Land Management (PLM)

The School of Energy Resources (SER) Professional Land Management Industry Partners Program offers industry and business leaders a meaningful opportunity to invest in the future of the land profession while strengthening the talent pipeline for the energy industry.

As land, legal, and regulatory challenges grow increasingly complex, employers need professionals who bring both technical knowledge and practical experience to the field. SER’s PLM program is designed to meet this need by preparing students to navigate real-world land and resource issues with professionalism, integrity, and leadership.

Through partnership with SER, your organization plays a direct role in shaping the next generation of land professionals. Industry support allows us to:

  • Attract and retain high-performing students from across the country
  • Provide hands-on, field-based experiential learning opportunities
  • Connect students with industry professionals through mentorship, site visits, and networking

By becoming an Industry Partner, your organization gains visibility among emerging talent, strengthens connections with the university, and helps ensure the continued relevance and success of the PLM program. Together, we are building a skilled, industry-ready workforce prepared to meet the evolving demands of the energy sector.

Allowing students to do. Not just be.

Energy Resource Management and Development student David Meraz-Ordonez, in the PLM concentration, discusses his experience in the degree program and the numerous opportunities for hands-on training and real-world learning.
