Dr. Kaitlyn Root passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2023. Dr. Root was a gifted teacher, a passionate advocate for her students, and a kind and compassionate person. Research Experience
Dr. Root has taken part in a collaborative research project which uses qualitative interviews with cash assistance program managers in Ohio to explore how these managers perceive clients, discuss implementing policy and describe their own roles within the system. She has co-authored a book chapter in a Routledge reader, has forthcoming work in Sociological Imagination and work under review at Poverty and Public Policy.
