From Kemmerer, WY, Jesse found a passion for science during high school, which prompted him to invest time as a local EMT. His time as an EMT instilled an interest in health and medical science, and a desire to solve challenging problems. To this end he attended the University of Wyoming receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with minors in Japanese Language and Honors, then earning a Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology. As free time is a scarce and precious commodity, Jesse chooses to spend his time with his family: visiting his niece and nephew, or traveling with his wife. As he enjoys testing his critical thinking, the remaining time he has is dedicated to his hobbies of competitive table top and card games, or relaxing by bingeing on horror movies and cartoons. Through his experiences with children and including his niece and nephew, Jesse’s primary medical interest is in family practice, however through his Master’s research in molecular biology, he would enjoy exploring genetic medicine as well.
