Ola is originally from Poland, but grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Microbiology and minor in Molecular Biology and Honors Program in 2017. Since graduating, she worked as a premedical intern at Sleeping Bear Pediatrics in Steamboat Springs. A combination of science and service drew Ola to medicine at a young age, but working in a pediatric clinic has confirmed her decision to pursue a career as a primary care physician. This opportunity taught her continuity of care in rural medicine is vital for patient outcomes. Her experiences in a rural pediatric clinic have inspired her to continue working with both rural and underserved patient populations as a medical student and physician. Though she is currently interested in pediatrics, she is eager to explore other fields in medicine throughout her medical education. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. Ola is excited to start her adventure as a WWAMI student, in order to reach her goal of becoming a physician in Wyoming.
