Allison Gernant teaches first-year composition, first year seminar, and courses in the Synergy Program.  Her research and teaching interests include active and engaged learning practices in higher education, and interdisciplinary, problem-based learning. She enjoys theatre, fly-fishing, and brewing Kombucha tea. In the winter, she volunteers with Laramie's Medicine Bow Nordic Association (MBNA) to teach cross-country skiing to children aged five to ten.
