3UW sponsored, special, or after hours events in Classrooms 129 and 133, the Ag Auditorium, and the Berry Center are generally free of charge as long as no after hours technician support is required. Charges may apply based on the event category.
Event Classification Definitions:
Classification I – Qualifying groups and activities include UW recognized student clubs and organizations, or fund-raising activities or other activities not involving commercial entities. Non-profit organizations and Wyoming state agencies sponsored by a recognized student organization, with participants primarily students; faculty and staff qualify under this category. Usage Charge: none, Content Life: 1 year.
Classification II – Qualifying groups and activities include faculty or staff work-related meetings, events or conferences sponsored by a UW Department. Non-profit organizations and Wyoming state agencies activities sponsored by a UW Department with participants primarily students; faculty and staff qualify under this category. Usage Charge: none, Content Life: 1 year.
Classification III - Qualifying groups and activities include University departments, recognized student clubs and organizations co-sponsoring events with commercial entities or events where admission is charged. Non-profit organizations and Wyoming state agencies, not primarily involving students, faculty, and staff and regional or national student or department educational conferences qualify under this category. Usage Charge: $25 per hour, Content Life: 1 month.
Classification IV – Commercial off-campus groups. Not eligible to use WyoCast services.
WyoCast Mobile Unit
The WyoCast Mobile Unit is not available for capturing recurring lectures/classes. It is intended for use on the Laramie campus or the UW Conference Center for one-time events. There is a $50 per hour fee, which includes equipment and technician assistance; 1 hour minimum. A setup and take down fee of $30 will apply. First come; first served. Availability is based upon IT staffing availability and other potential scheduling conflicts.
Requests should be submitted at least one week in advance of the event. CTS requires a one hour room access time prior to the event start time for setup and a 30 minute room access time after the event is over to take down equipment. CTS is not responsible for arranging pre and post time availability.
