WyoCast Fees

Classroom Capture

This service is available free of charge for academic and university related use. Limited to classrooms with installed recorders and capture systems. A CTS technician will not be present at the time of the recording, but may perform a training session if requested. Qualifying requestors include: faculty, staff, and students for non-commercial, academic and university related use.

WyoCast Mobile Unit

The WyoCast Mobile Unit is not available for capturing recurring lectures/classes. It is intended for use on the Laramie campus or UW Conference Center for one-time events. Qualifying groups and activities include colleges, departments, divisions, RSO’s, faculty or staff work-related meetings, or events and conferences sponsored by a qualified UW group during normal business hours.

Mobile WyoCast Events

Fees: $50/hour plus $30 setup/takedown fee 1 hour minimum
Storage: First 18 months free, after $5 per year, 1 year minimum.

There is a $50 per hour fee, which includes equipment and technician; 1 hour minimum. A setup and take down fee of $30 will apply. First come; first served. Availability is based upon IT staffing availability, equipment, and other potential scheduling conflicts.

Requests should be submitted at least one week in advance of the event. CTS requires a one hour room access time prior to the event start time for setup and a 30 minute room access time after the event is over to take down equipment. CTS is not responsible for arranging pre and post time availability.

 

WyoCast Multi-Camera Option

The WyoCast multi-camera option is not available for capturing lectures/classes. It is intended for high profile qualified “Special Events”. The multi-camera option requires at a minimum of two technicians. The multi-camera option is a $75.00 charge per hour over and above the $50.00 mobile unit fee with a 4 hour minimum recording time. Extra technicians will be charged at a $15.00 per hour rate. Depending on the scale of the event a consulting fee will be charged at a rate of $50.00 per hour.

Requests must be received two weeks in advance of the event - no exceptions please. CTS will require a two hour room access time prior to the event and a one hour room access time after the event is over to take down equipment. CTS is not responsible for arranging pre and post time availability. There is no extra charge for setup over and above the normal $30.00 fee.
