Religious Accommodations

Support from VP Hall and Provost Carman on Religious Accommodations

As we engage in providing a supportive community, we recognize the diverse faith traditions represented among members of our campus community.  We support students, staff and faculty in the observance of these traditions. We ask you to accommodate students, staff and faculty who wish to observe their religious traditions. Riding for the Brand is respecting the dignity of all members of our community!

We ask that you make efforts to avoid scheduling meetings or events at times that would exclude people who are observing a religious tradition. When we are attentive to people’s religious traditions, it becomes a part of creating a welcoming and supportive learning community fostered by integrity, inclusivity, freedom of expression and respect.

The University of Wyoming recognizes that the faith traditions observed by our diverse community include more dates than can be captured adequately in a list. In addition, some observances vary by tradition and by country and are defined by different calendars. ODEI has compiled a list of religious observance dates, and we ask you to reach out to ODEI if you are aware of religious traditions that need to be added.
