Erin Bentley
Associate Director & Program Manager
Biodiversity Institute
Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources

Erin Bentley received her undergraduate in Animal Science from the University of Wyoming
in 2017, and her PhD in the University of Wyoming Program in Ecology and Evolution
in 2026. She uses transdisciplinary approaches bridging population genetics and phylogenomics
to investigate evolution and conservation in the wildflower genus Penstemon, in addition
to her work studying the effects of art/science integration in formal and informal
educational settings. She has managed an NSF funded outreach project, the Microbestiary,
and is currently co-lead on the science/printmaking project Kaleidoscope Science,
using printmaking to teach the public about scientific concepts and measure perspectives
on transdisciplinary work. She is an avid supporter and scholar of integrating the
whole self into one's work, and brings aspects of creative writing, game design, and
art into all areas of her life: academic, professional, and personal.
