Rebecca Witinok-Huber

Rebecca Witinok-Huber (Becky) is an Assc. Research Scientist in the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources on the EPSCoR Wyoming Anticipating Climate Transitions (WyACT) grant. She is an applied, transdisciplinary systems scientist focused on intersections related to water and climate change adaptation, gender equality, sustainable development, environmental health and justice, and agricultural extension. She collaborates with partners across academia, communities, Tribes, non-profits, private industry, and government. Her mentorship and research experiences are rooted in community-based participatory research and decolonizing methodologies. She has developed, led, and been a part of teams collaborating on research in Africa, the Kyrgyz Republic, Chile, New Zealand, and the US, Canada, and Mexico. 

She looks forward to working at the intersections of environmental and social complexities in Wyoming, as part of the WyACT team, and building processes to bridge research and practice more effectively and through honoring multiple ways of knowing and being. She is also excited to teach and mentor the next generation of scientists and practitioners.
