ARTISAN Program

Accelerating Research Translation Through Student Leadership

What is the ARTISAN Program?

The Acceleration Research Translation Integrated Student Ambassador Network (ARTISAN) is a dedicated initiative within the NSF ART program designed to immerse the next generation of innovators in the world of translational research. At the University of Wyoming, ARTISAN focuses on connecting undergraduates with active translational research labs, providing a direct bridge between classroom learning and high-impact societal solutions. By offering specialized training and enhancing senior design projects with a translational lens, the program empowers students to transform their academic discoveries into real-world applications. To further celebrate this culture of innovation, ARTISAN supports Undergraduate Research Day with specific translational awards, encouraging students to develop the entrepreneurial thinking and community engagement skills necessary to drive Wyoming's future economic impact.
