Academic Resources

Academic success is supported through a variety of dedicated resources designed to support students in their classes. STEP Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction leaders can ensure students are fully understanding what they are learning in class. The Writing Center and Center for Assistance with Statistics & Mathematics (CASM) can provide more specific assistance in a variety of subjects.
The University of Wyoming Libraries are centers of discovery and learning where you can conduct research, develop skills for lifelong learning and seek help from professional librarians.
Disability Support Services strives to ensure successful access and services for students with disabilities.
Information Technology team can help with a wide range of technical questions or problems including computer repair, help with your UW accounts and email, and more.
Financial Resources
The Office of Scholarship & Financial Aid helps provide a path for students to achieve their higher education goals. They can answer questions about what scholarships are available at the University of Wyoming, how to qualify for different types of federal financial aid, and what the important deadlines are.
On-campus jobs and work-study positions offer flexible employment opportunities for students. UW’s Human Resources and Handshake platform make it easy to search and apply for openings.
The Pokes Center for Community Resources is here to ensure all students have access to basic life skills, resources, and needs. This center includes the Food Share Pantry, Campus Community Closet, and more.
Wellness & Mental Health Resources

The University Counseling Center provides free, confidential mental health support to all enrolled students. Services include individual counseling, group sessions, crisis support, and wellness workshops. The Psychology Center and Wellspring Counseling Clinic also offer mental health resources.
From preventative care to wellness coaching, UW Student Health Services supports students’ overall well-being. Students can also access programs like nutrition counseling, STI testing, and flu shot clinic.
- Half Acre and Campus Recreation offers inclusive access to fitness classes, personal training, outdoor trips, and intramural sports. The Half Acre Recreation and Wellness Center provides equipment and programs that support physical and mental health.

Campus Safety
The Violence Prevention Center firmly believes that sexual and interpersonal violence can be prevented, and that we can create a safer and more respectful community. They utilize research-informed and evidence-based approaches including Green Dot that are rooted in public health models and best practice.
Any concerned individual can refer a student who may be experiencing academic, personal or emotional challenges or who may be demonstrating concerning, distressed, or disruptive behavior to the UW CARES Team by submitting a referral form.
The Dean of Students Office supports student well-being and accountability, helping to maintain a safe and respectful campus environment. Students can report incidents, seek help with conflicts, and receive assistance navigating university policies or support systems.
The University of Wyoming Police Department (UWPD) operates 24/7 and is committed to keeping campus safe. UWPD provides emergency response, safety escorts, crime prevention education, and community outreach.
