Grazing Management Research
Larkspur may be beautiful, but for cattle, this native Wyoming wildflower can be deadly. While sheep can graze on larkspur without harm, cattle are highly susceptible to its toxins. University of Wyoming master’s student Aaron Kersh, who is studying grazing management, is advancing research that could offer the beef industry a practical solution: using sheep to graze larkspur and make rangelands safer for cattle.
Kinesiology Research
Graduate student Sydney Polson is pursuing her master’s degree in Kinesiology & Health, but her time at the University of Wyoming has given her a much broader education than what’s listed on her degree. From teaching fellow graduate students the skills they need to succeed in their studies and future careers to conducting rigorous research of her own, Polson has built a diverse set of experiences that are preparing her for a wide range of career possibilities.
