University of Wyoming Calendar for April 13-19

April 13, 2009 — 7:30 p.m. -- The Civic Chorus and Community Band will present a concert in the Fine Arts Center concert hall. Free.

Wednesday, April 15, 1:30 p.m. -- "A Conversation with Chris Matthews: The Presidency of Barack Obama" will be held in the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Wednesday, April 15, 4 p.m. -- UW Professor David McDonald of the zoology and physiology department will present "Facebook for birds: social networks, smart, choosy females and the importance of reputation in a tropical bird" as part of the Faculty Senate Speaker Series, Room 129 of the Classroom Building. Free.

Wednesday, April 15, 8-10 p.m. -- Bands the Rx Bandits and Save My Hero will perform in the Wyoming Union ballroom. Free.

Thursday, April 16, 7:30 p.m. -- The UW Symphony Orchestra will present "Roman Brass," their season finale, in the Fine Arts Center concert hall. Tickets cost $6 for students, $7 for seniors and $10 for others.

Friday, April 17, 2 p.m. -- Attorney Leticia Saucedo will discuss discrimination in the brown collar workplace, Room 302 of the Classroom Building. Free.

Friday, April 17, 6 p.m.-Saturday, April 18, at 7 a.m. -- UW will host its first Relay For Life in the Half Acre gym.

Friday, April 17, 7:30 p.m. -- Amsterdam's Quartet New Generation will perform in the Fine Arts Center Concert Hall. Tickets cost $15 for students and senior citizens and $18 for others.

Saturday, April 18, 8 a.m. -- Face AIDS and Spectrum will sponsor the WyoAIDS Walk, a fund raiser with several speakers and performances, Prexy's Pasture.

Saturday, April 18, 7:30 p.m. -- UW honors students will perform Balinese music and dance in the Fine Arts Center concert hall. Free.

Sunday, April 19, 3 p.m. -- The Wind Ensemble will perform in the Fine Arts Center concert Hall. Free.

Sunday, April 19, 7:30 p.m. -- The Organ Recital Series will feature Rita Krusemark in the Fine Arts Center concert hall. Free.
