Why study Geospatial Information Science & Technology at the University of Wyoming?

From map-based apps to complex scientific analyses, Geospatial Information Science and Technology (GIS&T) is playing a growing role in today's fast-paced world. WyGISC offers undergraduate and graduate courses on-campus and online. Students learn from our expert faculty in courses covering GIS basics, unmanned aerial systems, geospatial programming, data visualization, enterprise systems, web GIS, and spatial modeling, with many other courses designed to explore specific interest areas.

***Note to International Students:

International students enrolled in US universities are limited to a certain number of credit hours from online courses every semester. Currently, most of the GIST courses are taught online. Prior to submitting an application, international students should contact UW International Students and Scholars (uwglobal@uwyo.edu) and the GIST Program Director (gist@uwyo.edu) to learn about the current requirement and how it could affect their immigration status.***
