John Ackerman

Dr. John Ackerman is an adjunct professor in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering.

Dr. Ackerman's primary interests lie in solar energy efficiency improvements using multilayer dielectric thin films and sub-wavelength structures (SWS's) to transfer more of the desirable wavelengths o the sun's spectrum into working solar cells. He is also active in the production of highly unstable nano-particles as Fermi level modifiers (band bending) for mixed phase photochemical converters.
