Maohong Fan

Dr. Maohong Fan is an associate professor in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and School of Energy Resources.

The Fan group works on the application of chemical catalysts in the water gas shift (WGS) and methane reforming reactions for H₂ production as well as destroying various environmental pollutants. They are also interested in the application of biocatalysts for biomass conversion to chemicals and fuels. In many cases they prepare and characterize nanoscale catalysts for these purposes.
