Life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, help provide financial protection in the event of your death of that of a spouse or dependent.  The university offers life insurance to benefited employees through the companies listed below.

State of Wyoming - Group Term Life Insurance

Basic death benefit is $50,000 (decreases at age 60). The premium is based on age and is paid through payroll deduction. There is no open enrollment, but employees who don’t enroll when they are hired may apply and must provide proof of good health.

Wyoming Retirement System - Group Term Life Insurance

This option is only available during November open enrollment to employees who participate in the Wyoming Retirement System. It is a decreasing term life plan, monthly premiums are paid through payroll deduction and remain at $16 per month regardless of age. Dependents are included.

Change of Beneficiary

A beneficiary change can be made at any time during the year. If you are unsure what type of life insurance you have, log into EGI Portal.  If you have the policy offered by the State of Wyoming, complete the Health, Dental and Life Insurance Application.  If you have the life insurance offered by TIAA, you can find the proper form on their website.  If you have supplemental life insurance provided by Wyoming Retirement System, complete the Beneficiary Form.
