It's important to note that the University of Wyoming offers benefited employees an insurance plan that does not meet the J-1 requirement. If a J-1 scholar chooses to enroll and purchase our plan, they will still need to purchase a separate comprehensive insurance policy that meets all the J-1 minimum requirements including repatriation and medical evacuation. Please contact International Student and Scholars for more information regarding J-1 scholar insurance requirements, or email uwglobal@uwyo.edu.
