The Libraries participate in reciprocal borrowing programs with a number of institutions. Agreements and policies vary with each program.
Wyoming community colleges libraries, the University of Wyoming Libraries, and George W. Hopper Law Library are partners in providing resources to the higher education community in Wyoming. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to borrow library materials when visiting participating institutions. Present a current valid ID from your college or university along with a government-issued ID to borrow materials for free, and items must be returned in person or by mail to the library from which you borrowed. Checkout periods and other policies may be different from your home library, and you are responsible for any fees for late, lost, or damaged items. Some library services, such as interlibrary loan and remote database access, are limited to current employees and students of that institution. Please schedule an appointment in advance if you would like to meet with a librarian.

Any library borrower may authorize a representative to check out materials on his or her behalf by completing and signing a Linked Patron Permission Form (PDF). Each account owner assumes responsibility for all library transactions made by his or her representative. Under the Linked Patron service:
All library materials may be borrowed except current periodicals, newspapers, reference books and microforms. These items are library use only.
Materials in the Emmett Chisum Special Collections, the Rocky Mountain Herbarium collection and the Jackson Research Center must be used at those facilities.
Renewals may be made at any University of Wyoming Libraries Circulation Desk, online via our Online Renewal Form, over the phone, or through My Accounts. Overdue materials may be renewed in person, over the phone, or online.
Items that are not authorized for renewal or that have reached their renewal limits must be returned or physically brought to a Libraries Help Desk to be re-checked out.
Phone Contacts:
Return checked out library materials to any Help Desk or book drop on or before the due date.
Receipts for returned items are available upon request at any Help Desk.
To avoid damage, fragile materials should not be placed in outside book drops.
Loan periods and maximum numbers of items that may be checked out at one time vary by type of material and type of borrower. The Libraries reserve the right to recall items needed for course reserves, which shortens loan periods to one week before it must be returned.
