Migration Review Support

Need a Hand After Migration? FAST Can Help!

 

We’re excited to partner with a talented group of student interns from UW’s Financial Affairs Support Team (FAST) to offer FREE post-migration website support to Option 1 migrating sites! These trained website editors will provide up to five (5) hours of assistance per site to help clean up and polish migrated pages inside the new design templates. All at no cost to your department. This support has limited funding and we anticipate being able to offer support to up to 75 CMS sites on a first-come, first-served basis.

This service is only available to sites using Option 1 to migrate their pages to the new website designs. 

 

What can they help with?

  • Fixing spacing or formatting issues on migrated pages
  • Making minor aesthetic improvements to enhance the page layout, including fixing malformed snippets or components that do not migrate correctly.

Limitations

  • FAST editors will not rewrite or update your page with new content including photos, words, etc. that are not already existing on your migrated page. This remains the responsibility of your site’s assigned editor.
  • Rebuilding pages using new templates will not be permitted by FAST website editors, however your site's assigned editor may rebuild a page at anytime following the final migration.
  • They also won’t make ongoing changes unless a separate agreement is made between your unit and the FAST team. To get in touch with FAST about ongoing website editing, please visit their site here.

Understanding of Scope of Work & Project Terms

Before submitting your request for migration assistance from the FAST website support team, please review and acknowledge the following:

  • I understand that the FAST website team will provide up to five (5) hours of assistance per CMS site to help review pages after the final website migration.

  • I consent to allow the FAST team to make minor adjustments to migrated pages, including fixing formatting or spacing issues, replacing missing images and/or making aesthetic improvements for better presentation.

  • I understand that the FAST team will not rewrite or enhance existing page content. All content updates remain the responsibility of the site's designated editor(s).

  • I acknowledge that FAST editors are not responsible for long-term website management or updates beyond the five-hour review window unless a separate agreement is established with my department.

  • I understand that the five-hour support limit applies per CMS site. If additional time is needed beyond this limit, the assigned FAST website editor will notify me with a summary of what was completed and what remains.

  • I agree to work directly with the assigned FAST website editor during the review process and understand that Institutional Marketing will only provide oversight and guidance when needed.
