Step by Step Instructions
Use the Content tab to locate and open a desired page when you are logged in to Modern Campus CMS.
- Once you have logged in to Modern Campus CMS, navigate to the Content tab and click
on the Pages link.
- Since the CMS is used for the whole University, there will be a lot of site folders
initially shown. The folders that are linked in blue text are the ones you have permission
to view and edit. Reminder: Refer to the home icon in the upper left of the screen
to determine where you are in the site's folder structure. To navigate down the site
folder structure, scroll to find the name of the desired folder in the name column
or use the Filter to find your directory. Once you find the folder for your site,
click on it to view the files, folders, and pages within.
Note: As a shortcut, you can bookmark your site(s) main folder to make it easier to find. Use the Bookmarks Gadget to do this, and make sure your CMS Dashboard is set up to show your Bookmarks. - Once you have selected your main folder, the contents of the folder are displayed
and you can navigate through your files and folders within. If a page is available
to be Checked Out, a light bulb icon will appear in the Status column. If there is
a red lock under the Status column, that means the page is checked out by someone
else and you will not be able to edit the page until it is checked back in.
- Click on the page name to display the selected page. This will default to the page Edit view. Once you have checked out the page, you can begin editing. Review the Editing, Saving and Publishing tutorial for next steps!
