Eligibility
All undergraduate and graduate students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:
- Have around 7 hours available during the week to dedicate to ASUW Senate Meetings (every Tuesday at 7 pm in the Wyoming Union Senate Chambers) and ASUW committee meetings as well as Senator Office Hours.
- Pay the ASUW Fee (covered under Mandatory Student Fees; if you're unsure if you pay the ASUW fee, contact the Office of the Registrar)
- Undergraduate students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA while in office
- Graduate students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA while in office, or 2.0 if their graduate program does not require a 3.0
- Undergraduate students must have earned at least 24 credits by the time of application, and at least 12 of those credits must have been earned at UW
- Graduate students must have earned at least 18 credits by the time of application, and at least 9 of those credits must have been earned at UW
- Not currently a member of the ASUW Judicial Council
- Not currently on Conduct Probation, as determined by the Dean of Students Office

SENATE VACANCY APPLICATION AND PROCESS
Pursuant to Senate Bill #2722, the ASUW Student Government no longer utilizes the Special Elections process and will now fill vacancies via applications and confirmation of the ASUW Senate. Applications can be found and completed by using this form.
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be interviewed by the ASUW Vice President. If selected for a vacant seat, they will be nominated for confirmation by the ASUW Senate at the next immediate Senate Meeting.
