The UW Operations Business Services department supports the mission of UW Operations by responsibly managing the fiscal operations of UW Operations and by providing support to all of its customers. The Business Services department includes the Service Desk, the Accounting Office, Computing Services, and the Central Stores Warehouse.
The Service Desk receives and processes all campus work requests for University of Wyoming facilities maintenance and repair during standard university hours of business. Calls received after hours and on weekends are answered by the Central Energy Plant, who will contact an on-call technician to respond to requests requiring immediate attention.
The Accounting Office is responsible for the financial and personnel activities of UW Operations which includes human resource management, time card reporting, procurement and payment of goods and services, monthly customer billings, and payment of utility services and reimbursable utility billings.
The Central Stores Warehouse is located in the west section of the UW Operations Service Building at 15th and Lewis Streets and is utilized as a parts storage facility, servicing University of Wyoming departments. Departments wishing to purchase materials from the warehouse are required to present their barcoded Materials Purchasing Card at checkout, which can be obtained by contacting either Computing Services or the Stores Warehouse.
The Central Stores Warehouse has over 7,000 product items in inventory, representative of various skilled crafts and trades as well as custodial items. Other services provided by Central Stores include product deliveries, forklift service with operator, special orders for items not stocked in the warehouse, and any other assistance to help meet our customers' needs.

The recycling department primarily collects and sorts paper products and plastic bottles. If a department has a quantity of another material please contact the department to see if they can dispose of the item. UW is participating in the 2021 Campus Race to Zero Waste.
