STEP 1: Be sure your page is checked out for editing using the light bulb icon in the top right of the screen and that you have saved any new edits.
STEP 2: Using the three dots icons in the top right next to the green Publish button, select
the Page Check drop down from the list.
Note: You will also have the option to run the page checks when you click to Publish the page.
STEP 3 : Inside the Page Check dialog box, select the Run All Checks button to scan your page for errors. You can also individually select one of the options for Spelling, Links, or Accessibility by clicking the circular arrow next to that option.
Note: These scans may take several minutes.
STEP 4: Once the scan is complete, you will see a link appear next to each check you scanned for in Page Check. Click into each link in order to see any errors that may have occurred.
Correcting Spelling Errors
If you click the link to see the list of errors, you will be shown any errors picked
up in the scan. We recommend opening your spelling errors in a new window, or making
note of the errors elsewhere, so that you can return to your editor to correct the
errors.
Please Note: Site editors cannot add words to the CMS's dictionary to correct a spelling error. If you wish to create an exception, please open a help request ticket inside the Request Help Gadget while on your page.
HELPFUL HINT! If you're having difficulty locating your spelling errors, try using the Search icon inside your WYSIWYG toolbar to find the misspelled words and replace it with
the correct spelling.
Correcting Link Errors
You can also check to see if any of your links are broken. The Page Check will show you pages inside the CMS that are missing from both Staging and Production (the live server) and it will also show you if a destination of an external site outside of the CMS is potentially not working. site editors should also note that the Page Check will scan the entire page including navigation, which site editors can make corrections through _nav.ounav files within their directory.
Please Note: Note that site editors cannot add link exceptions. If you wish to create an exception, please open a help request ticket inside the Request Help Gadget while on your page.
Correcting ACCESSIBILITY Errors
Some of the accessibility errors that might appear during Page Check could be related to fragments in the source code that site editors do not have access to edit. To ensure that your page does not have accessibility violations, we recommend viewing the page that has been published to Dev, and running an accessibility scan using accessibility tool browser extensions.
