Setting Speed Limits

Wyoming Technology Transfer Center

The main objective of the speed limit program is to help local governments in Wyoming set speed limits on local roads.  The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and the WYT2/LTAP developed the standards and guidelines for establishing speed limits.  These standards require a Professional Engineer (P.E.) to sign and stamp each new speed limit declaration form.  Please contact us to get more details about how we can help you set up your speed limit program.  For more information view the setting speed limits program pamphlet.
