Bio
Dr. Nair received his bachelors in pharmacy, masters in pharmacy, and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal, Mangalore University, India. He then completed post-doctoral trainings form the Department of Medicine II, Klinikum Grosshadern, Ludwig Maximillian University of Munich, Germany, and the Department of Physiology, University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, Memphis, TN. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. He has received funding from the NIH, the American Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association. He has published over 80 original research papers and has edited 4 books. He is a fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA), American College of Nutrition (FACN) and is an AACP Academic Research Fellow.
