Move-In Information

We are excited to welcome you to your new campus home! To make your experience as smooth as possible, we have parking for when you arrive on campus during Move-In Day! Learn about what to do when you get to campus, where to park to unload your vehicle, and where to park when you are unloaded so the next Cowboy can move in too!

Move In Day 2025

Move-In Day Schedule:

  1. Arrive on campus
  2. Check into your residence hall
  3. Unload your vehicle
  4. Move your vehicle out of the 30 minute zone
  5. Find a Saddle Up check-in station!
  6. Visit Transportation Services and many other units at One Stop Shop in Washakie

For unloading your vehicle, you may use the 30 minute unloading zones:

  • King Street north of the residence halls
  • South of Orr Hall
  • West of White Hall
  • On the west side of Fraternity/Sorority Row
  • West of North Hall

Please do not exceed the 30 minute limit. Once you have unloaded your vehicle, please move your vehicle to another parking lot.

 

For Oversized Vehicles or Trailers: temporary parking is available in the lot east of Crane Hall.


Once you've unloaded, please move your vehicle:

  • Green Parking Permit Holders: If you have already acquired an Green Residential parking permit, please move your vehicle to one of the large parking lots north or east of Crane Hall or Fraternity Row. 
  • Purple Parking Permit Holders: If you have a Purple permit, please park in the designated Purple lots at 30th and Armory Road!
  • Don't have a permit? If you do not have a parking permit, you can view your permit options for online, give us a call at 307-766-9800, or find us on Move-In Day in the lower level of Washakie.
  • Parents & Visitors: Can temporarily park their vehicles in a Move-In Day Parking lots indicated in brown on the move-in parking map.

Parking during the 1st week of classes?

There will be full enforcement during the first week of school, however individuals will be given a chance to acquire their parking permit. Permits for the 2025-26 academic year must be acquired by August 29th. View more parking enforcement information.
