James DeLoss Towar

James DeLoss Towar, Acting President (March 1908-May 1908)

James D. Towar of Berkley, California, served as the President of the University of Wyoming for a brief period of time, temporarily replacing F.M. Tisdel when he was removed from office.  Towar was a professor of agriculture and was director of the experiment station and held responsibilities comparable to the dean of agriculture from 1907-1910.
