Arthur Griswold Crane

 Arthur Griswold Crane (1922-1941)

Crane was the President of the University of Wyoming from 1922-1941.  He was born in New York State in 1877.  He received his B.S. in 1902 at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and afterward began his career as an administrator.  He received his master's degree at Columbia in 1918 and two years later obtained his Ph.D. at the same institution.  Crane was the author of the History of Physical Reconstruction, the official medical history of the War , and was co-author of several courses of study for use in army hospitals.
