Robert Sternberg (July 2013-November 2013)
Dr. Robert Sternberg served as President from July 2013-November 2013. Previous to his work at the University, Dr. Sternberg served as the Provost and Senior Vice President at Oklahoma State University (2010-2013), the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University (2005-2010), and held multiple positions at Yale University (1975-2005).
Dr. Sternberg earned his B.A. in psychology, summa cum laude, at Yale University and his Ph.D. in psychology from Stanford University. Dr. Sternberg also served as the President of the Federation of Associations in Behavioral and Brain Sciences, a board member and current treasurer of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, and a former president of the American Psychological Association. He holds 13 honorary degrees from 12 different countries. He was listed as one of the “Top 100 Psychologists of the 20th Century” by the APA Monitor and one of the 100 “Top Young Scientists in the U.S.” by Science Digest in 1984.
