Molly Burchett

Dr. Molly Burchett is an Assistant Professor of Marketing, Smyrnios Family Sales Professor, and President’s Distinguished Scholar at the University of Wyoming. Broadly, Molly’s research focuses on behavioral marketing and sales strategy, such as addressing selling effectiveness issues in B2C, B2B, and B2G selling. She explores these issues using qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and multi-source data collection efforts. Her research has been published in the Journal of Marketing and the European Journal of Marketing. Molly teaches Professional Selling and Selling for Impact courses, is the faculty advisor of the UW Sales Club, and serves on numerous doctoral dissertation committees. Since joining the UW faculty in Fall 2020, Molly has won numerous teaching and service awards, including the 2021, 2022, and 2024 Excellence in Teaching Awards, the 2023 Impact Award, the 2022 UW Top Professor Award, and the 2021 Campus Being a Difference Award. Prior to earning her M.A. in Communication and Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Kentucky, Molly worked for four years as a sales representative and business development director in the financial services industry, and for two years leading strategic partner development for a manufacturing company. When not working, Molly enjoys biking, hiking, skiing, campervanning, photographing wildlife, and exploring new places with her wife, Blake, and goldendoodle, Gia.
