Universal Accessibility Symbol  Accessible Parking For Individuals with Disabilities


Please note that some accessible spaces require both a state disability placard and a UW permit. This requirement will be noted on the sign at the parking space. All Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible parking spaces are enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Parking spaces for individuals with disabilities are available in various convenient locations throughout the lots on the core of campus. Please see our parking map for Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible parking space locations. The spaces are indicated on the map by the universal disability symbol Universal Accessibility Symbol.

If Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible parking spaces are not close enough to your destination, contact the paratransit service at (307) 766-6686 to see if you qualify for the shuttle service.

Long Term Parking:


Any student, faculty or staff with a temporary or permanent state disability placard is eligible to purchase a disability parking permit. A state placard or proof of a disability license plate must be presented to Transit & Parking Services as verification. A university "D" permit, in conjunction with a state disability placard or disability license plate, allows a vehicle to park in Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible, "A", "C", or "R" spaces.

A Temporary Disability or "TD" Permit, in conjunction with a state/city disability placard allows a vehicle to park in any Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible, "A", "C", or "R" parking space for the duration of the individual's disability.

Short Term Parking:


For short-term use, Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible parking for individuals with disabilities is available through one of the following options:

Day Permits

When a day permit is used in conjunction with a state/city disability placard or disability license plate, it will allow a vehicle to park in any Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible, "A", "C", "R" or Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible meter space on a daily basis for $5.50/day.

Parking Meters

Metered spaces for individuals with disabilities are located throughout campus. These metered spaces are marked with a universal disability symbol Universal Accessibility Symbol and require a displayed state/city disability placard or disability license plate. Meters cost $1.50/hour. Universal Accessibility Symbol Accessible metered spaces are indicated on the parking map

Day Lot

Patrons with state/city disability placards or disability license plates may utilize any available space in the Day Lot with proper payment of the individual space.  The cost is $1.50/hour. 

Free Parking

Free short-term Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible parking is available at the remote shuttle parking lots located at 15th & Spring Creek and 30th & Willett.  All of the UWYO Roundup buses are fully Universal Accessibility Symbol accessible; equipped with lifts and wheelchair tiedowns.  Visit the transit page for more details.
