Libraries

The UW's largest and most centralized library is Coe Library, which offers five floors of shelves, study rooms, lounging areas and computer labs, as well as online resources.  It is located near the Union (see campus map).  In addition to Coe, the UW offers following branch locations:

 

Core Facilities & Centers

Core facilities are laboratories that contain research equipment and technicians that process samples for researchers across campus and the world.  Centers are interdisciplinary entities that specialize in a particular set of skills.  UW Facilities and Centers include:

 

Computer Labs and IT

The UW provides approximately 100 computer labs available to all students, all over campus.  Visit the webpage for  a list of labs.

UW Information Technology is a member of EDUCAUSE, which is a large non-profit association geared toward making higher education computing accessible and helpful.  Learn more! 

In addition, UW IT also offers a variety of affordable trainings in common programs, such as the Microsoft and Adobe Suites.  See the courses here.

Research and Economic Development Division

The Office of Research & Economic Development works with faculty, staff and students in all seven colleges and UW's outreach programs to link research, technology transfer, and economic development efforts to enhance federal, state and private sector support for faculty and graduate student scholarship.  Visit their website.
