Knowing the resources and options available to you is a great way to ease some of the stress and help you manage your college experience more effectively. Student Support Beyond Academics

The University of Wyoming and the Dean of Students Office are committed to student success, offering resources that go beyond academics. We help ensure students' basic needs are met, allowing them to focus on their studies and responsibilities.

The Pokes Food Pantry is an on-campus resource offering fresh and non-perishable food, hygiene products, household items and baby items to UW community members in need.

The Meal Swipe Sharing Program at UW ensures all students have access to food. Unused meal swipes can be donated to support students in need.

If you're a student, faculty member, or family member with concerns about a UW student’s behavior or well-being, you can submit a report and our office can reach out with support.

Students who are pregnant, parenting or have a pregnancy-related condition may be eligible for unique assistance. Learn more about qualifications and your available options.

UW Student Government

The Associated Students of the University of Wyoming (ASUW) is an organization led by UW students, dedicated to serving the entire student body. Often, ASUW works closely with the Dean of Students Office to ensure students receive comprehensive support from both their peers and UW faculty and staff. This partnership helps better address student needs, enhance campus life and advocate for resources to support students’ overall well-being and success.

STEP Tutoring Center

The STEP Tutoring Center is a free resource available to all UW students, offering tutoring in a wide range of subjects and courses. Our knowledgeable tutors are dedicated to providing extra support and personalized instruction to help you succeed. STEP may just be your key to reducing anxiety around exams and decreasing the amount of last-minute, late-night study sessions!

The Advising, Career, Exploratory Studies Center provides support to help students navigate their academic path and plan for their future careers. Whether you're exploring majors, seeking advice on course selection or preparing for job opportunities, the ACES team is here to help! We offer resources and services designed to help you achieve success both during and well beyond your time at UW.

ACES Center

Cowboy Coaches is UW’s peer-mentoring program, created to help new students build confidence and connections. These mentors are fellow students who’ve been through similar experiences and are eager to offer one-on-one guidance. Students and mentors are thoughtfully matched based on interests and personalities. Additionally, there are a variety of group events led by Cowboy Coaches to foster community and support.

University Disability Support Services (DSS), a key part of the Dean of Students Office, plays an essential role in promoting inclusivity and accessibility at the University of Wyoming. DSS works closely with students, faculty and staff to ensure all UW students have equal access to educational opportunities. Supporting All Students at UW

The Dean of Students Office is part of the University of Wyoming's Division of Student Affairs, playing a key role in fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
