Nancy McGee

Outstanding Professional Student Affairs Employee

woman with long brown hair, engaging smile

Congratulations go to Nancy McGee, DNP, APRN-BC, faculty member with the UW School of Nursing and winner of the UW "Outstanding Professional Student Affairs Employee" award for 2016. The award was presented on March 30, 2016 during the Division of Student Affairs Spring Recognition Luncheon.

McGee's nominator wrote:

Nancy works at UW Student Health Services as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have worked with Nancy for years, and the bond that she forms with the students is above words. She is so passionate about helping the students who struggle with mental health. She is so kind and fair to the students. I really don't feel a lot of people could do the job she is required to do on a daily basis. It sometimes can be so emotionally draining, and she always does it with a smile on her face and love in her heart. I feel that Nancy McGee is so deserving of this award as most times the work she does for our students never gets rewarded.

McGee teaches in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program with the UW Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing in the Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program.
