According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis Outdoor Recreation Satellite Account (ORSA), outdoor recreation is a major contributor to Wyoming’s economic growth.
In 2022, outdoor recreation in Wyoming contributed $2.02 billion, 4.1 percent of the state’s GDP. Employment grew at 7.7 percent (compared to the US rate of 7.5 percent) including 16.2k jobs, accounting for 5.6% of the state's total employment.
